Shorthand is an abbreviated symbolic writing method, mainly used for Dictation which originated in Ancient Rome. ‘Lessons’ is an exploration of this system (specifically the Pitman system) through the words of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, translated from his writings in the 12 series books, ‘Meditations’. Deliverables include a series of 12 large 2 meter scrolls and an A5 rolodex style publication.
